Technology is a tool – how it is used is guided by how we learn to use it.

I have been in Education Technology for nearly 15 years, rising up through the ranks from a Computer Learning Specialist – supporting a single lab, through to two different Technology Director positions running all aspects of technology for districts. Even as I rose through the ranks, I never lost site of the end goal – helping students be successful and providing the tools and technology for schools to make that happen.

In every position I have worked, I have sought to streamline operations and improve service for the staff and students. Among my top accomplishments:

• I streamlined operations by over $1,000,000 over a three year period by centralizing the technology department’s staff and resources

• Eliminated over $500,000 in unnecessary outsourced costs over a two-year period by moving services in-house

• Reduced unnecessary blocks to student and staff success by opening up social media and other technology resources at my districts

I believe that in today’s fast-paced, high-tech world, we need to instruct and educate instead of simply blocking what we are afraid of and to that end, I make it a point to offer every available resource to my clients.

I am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge by helping others.
